Therapeutic indications
For the treatment of mixed infestations due to the following roundworms and flatworms in adult dogs and puppies: roundworms: toxocara canis, toxascaris leonina (late immature forms and mature forms), hook worms: tapeworms uncinaria stenocephala, ancylostoma caninum (adults) and flatworms: taenia spp., Dipylidium caninum.
Dosage and administration
For oral administration. The recommended doses are: 15 mg/kg of body weight febantel, 14.4 mg/kg of pyrantel and 5 mg/kg of praziquantel, which are equivalent to 1 tablet per 10 kg of body weight. The tablets can be divided into halves or quarters to allow for accuracy of the dose. Administration and duration of treatment: the tablets can be administered to the dog directly or in food. It is not necessary to prevent access to food either before or after administration of the product. To ensure administration of a correct dose, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible. Puppies can be dewormed with this product starting at 2 weeks of age and every 2 weeks up to 12 weeks of age. After that, they should be treated at 3-month intervals. It is advisable to treat the mother at the same time as the puppies. For toxocara control, nursing bitches should be treated 2 weeks after whelping and every 2 weeks until weaning. For routine control, a single dose at 3-month intervals is recommended. In case of severe roundworm infestation, the repeat dose should be administered after 14 days.
