Pesticides for topical use.Active principles
Fipronil, permethrin.Directions
For the treatment and prevention of flea and/or tick infestations where repellent (anti-feeding) activity against sandflies, horse flies and/or mosquitoes is necessary. For the treatment and prevention of Ctenocephalides felis flea infestations and the prevention of Ctenocephalides canis flea infestations. The product eliminates C. felis fleas present on the animal within 24 hours. One treatment prevents subsequent flea infestations for 4 weeks. The product can be used as part of a strategic treatment for flea allergy dermatitis where it has been previously diagnosed by a veterinarian. The product has a repellent effect against ticks (Dermacentorreticulatus) from 7 days and up to 4 weeks after treatment. However, individual ticks can attach themselves to the dog and come off within the first 24 hours of infestation. The product has immediate acaricidal efficacy against Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus but it is possible that not all ticks will be eliminated within 48 hours of treatment if they are already present at the time of application of the product. The product has acaricidal efficacy against ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) lasting for 4 weeks. The product has a repellent (anti-feeding) efficacy for 3 weeks against sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and for 4 weeks against mosquitoes (Culex pipiens). The product has a persistent insecticidal efficacy for 3 weeks against sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus). The product repels and eliminates horse flies (Stomoxys calcitrans) for five weeks.Contraindications/secondary effects
Do not use in sick or convalescent animals. Do not use in cats or rabbits, as potentially fatal adverse reactions may occur. Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.Use/route of administration
Topical.Dosage
For topical skin application. Animals should always be treated with the correct size pipette corresponding to their body weight. For dogs weighing more than 60 kg, use the correct combination of two pipette sizes, which corresponds as closely as possible to the dog's body weight. Treatment program: the use of the product must be based on the treatment of a confirmed infestation or on a risk of flea and/or tick infestation, where repellent activity (anti-feeding) against sandflies is also necessary and/or mosquitoes and/or horse flies. Repeating treatment may be indicated depending on exposure to ectoparasites. In these cases, the interval between two consecutive treatments should be at least 4 weeks.storage
Store in the original blister. Do not store above 25 degrees C.Warnings
It is possible that individual ticks attach themselves or that individual sandflies or mosquitoes bite the dog. For this reason, if particularly unfavorable conditions occur, it is not possible to completely exclude the transmission of pathogens through these arthropods. The product maintains effectiveness against fleas when treated animals are subjected to occasional immersion in water (e.g. swimming, bathing). However, we recommend that you do not bathe or allow dogs to swim within 48 hours of treatment. Avoid subjecting treated dogs to frequent bathing or washing, as these may negatively affect the maintenance of the product's effectiveness. To reduce reinfestations due to the appearance of new fleas, it is recommended to treat all cohabiting dogs. Other animals living in the same house should also be treated with a suitable product. To further contribute to reducing environmental infestation, we recommend, in addition, the use of an environmental treatment aimed at adult fleas and their larval stages. In the absence of specific studies, the use of the product is not recommended in dogs aged less than 8 weeks, or in dogs weighing less than 2 kg. Take care to avoid contact of the product with the dog's eyes. It is important to ensure that the product is applied in an area where the animal cannot lick itself and to ensure that other animals do not lick the treated area after application. In cats the product can cause potentially fatal convulsions, due to the presence of permethrin. In case of accidental skin exposure, wash the cat with shampoo or soap and promptly seek veterinary care. To prevent cats from being accidentally exposed to the product, separate treated dogs from cats until the application site is dry. It is important to ensure that cats do not lick the application site of a dog that has been treated with this product. If such exposure occurs, seek veterinary care immediately. The product may have negative effects on aquatic organisms. Do not allow treated dogs to enter waterways for 2 days following treatment. Special precautions for those who administer the product to animals: this product may cause irritation to the skin and eyes. Therefore, avoid allowing the product to come into contact with the skin and eyes. Do not open the pipette at or near your face. In case of ocular exposure or if the eyes become irritated during administration, wash them immediately with plenty of water. If eye irritation persists, consult a doctor. In case of dermal exposure or if the skin becomes irritated during administration of the product, wash the skin thoroughly immediately with soap and water. If skin irritation persists or recurs, consult a doctor. People with known hypersensitivity to fipronil and/or permethrin should avoid contact with the product. The product is harmful if ingested. Avoid hand-to-mouth contact. Do not smoke, drink or eat during application. Wash your hands after use. In case of ingestion, if you feel unwell, rinse your mouth and consult a doctor. Since in case of significant exposure, the excipient N-methylpyrrolidone can induce fetotoxicity and teratogenicity, pregnant women should wear gloves to avoid contact with the product. Treated animals should not be touched until the application site is dry and children should not be allowed to play with treated animals until the application site is dry. It is therefore recommended not to treat animals during the day but to treat them in the early evening hours and not to allow newly treated animals to sleep with their owners, especially children. Store pipettes in the original blister and, after use, empty pipettes should be disposed of immediately in a proper manner to prevent further access. Overdose: safety has been demonstrated with doses up to 5 times the maximum exposure dose in healthy adult dogs and puppies. Transient side effects such as mild neurological disorders, emesis and diarrhea may occur but resolve without treatment within 1-2 days.Waiting time

Dogs.Side effects
Among the very rare adverse reactions, transient skin reactions at the application site (skin discoloration, local alopecia, itching, redness) and generalized itching or alopecia were found after use. Excessive salivation, reversible neurological disorders (increased sensitivity to stimuli, hyperactivity, muscle tremor, depression, other nervous disorders) or vomiting have also been observed after use. If the dog licks the application site, transient hypersalivation and emesis may be observed.
